Marriage Licenses

A marriage license can be obtained from the Mineral County Clerk/Treasurer’s Office. There are no medical exams or blood tests required in order to apply for a marriage license and there is no waiting period. A Marriage License will be given at the time a bride and groom apply for it. The license will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue and may be used anywhere within the State of Nevada.

Costs
A marriage license is $85.00 payable by cash, local check or money order. After hours marriage licenses are available at the cost of $90.00 upon request

Marriage License Requirements

Minimum Age
Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Any minor who is 16 or 17 years old may apply for a marriage license with parental or guardian consent. A minor needs the consent of at least one custodial parent or legal guardian. Identification of the minor and the consenting parent or guardian plus a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate are required. If under 16, please call (775) 945-2446 for more information.

Photo I.D. of Both Parties
Both parties must be present to apply for a Marriage License. Bring photo ID showing proof of age.

Previous Marriages
If either party was previously married, they will be required to provide the date, city and state of the divorce.
